BURLINGAME — A driver crashed their vehicle onto a sidewalk in front of a restaurant Friday, killing a four-year-old boy and injuring a six-year-old girl, police said.
A 19-year-old woman from San Mateo was driving a sedan when she struck the two children about 6:25 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Donnelly Avenue in downtown Burlingame, police said in a news release.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. Officials did not immediately say if they suspected alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision.
Burlingame police did not immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday. The child killed was not immediately identified publicly.
