
SAN MATEO – One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash Thursday night in San Mateo, authorities said.
The collision was reported just after 6:15 p.m. at Alameda de las Pulgas and the eastbound Highway 92 off-ramp.
A black SUV crashed into a light pole, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs.
A San Mateo Police Department spokesperson confirmed one person was killed and two others were taken to a trauma center.
Additional details about the collision were not immediately available.
The Alameda de las Pulgas on- and off-ramps were closed following the crash, the CHP said. In addition, Alameda de las Pulgas was shut down in both directions from 20th Avenue to Barneson Avenue, according to the San Mateo Police Department.
